Copán

Copán is a city in the extreme west of Honduras near the border with Guatemala. It is the spot where in traditional times important Maya population existed. In the area which exists now from South-Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and the west of Honduras lived the Maya's. They built here 50 to 70 cities, where now the vestiges are still found. Copán covered 24 square kilometers and had 20,000 inhabitants. With that it wasn’t certain it was the largest Maya city. Much of it has been preserved, as a result of which it is now one of the most important archaeological sites. Of course Copán has been incorporated in the program of Zillatours.

Roatan
Discover the unequalled beauty of Roatan, largest of eight islands, which collectively is known as Islas de la Bahia. These islands rest on the Bonacca peak, the result of an enormous fissure in the ocean floor, approximately 40 miles north east of the North coast of Honduras.
The lava of the mantel from the ground erupted from this fissure and formed the Caribbean plate, which created the Bonacca peak. Roatan are 65 kilometers long and less than 6.5 kilometer widely to its broadest point. The islands have a lot of attractions - shining blue and clear water, palm trees, constant cool winds, exotic plants and nature paths. The best of Roatan is the vast riff which offers spectacular dives and snorkeling in the western Caribbean. The warm climate, usually around the 25 degrees, is as warm as the greeting which you will receive from the pleasant inhabitants. People of Roatan, population approximately 30,000, have ancestral origins of eight separate cultures - English, Spanish, Payan Indians, Garifuna, Afro Antillean, Anglo Antillean, Spanish Honduran and North American.
